Custom Egypt Tours

Yes, Egypt is generally a safe destination for tourists. Millions of travelers visit Egypt every year to explore its ancient wonders, vibrant culture, and beautiful landscapes without any problems. The government has made significant efforts to ensure the safety of visitors, especially in major tourist areas like Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea resorts. Like any travel destination, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings, follow local advice, and stick to well-known routes and tour operators.

Planning a trip to Egypt involves several important steps to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Here’s a guide to help you plan:

1. Decide on Your Travel Dates: Egypt has a hot desert climate, so the best times to visit are during the cooler months, from October to April. The summer months (May to September) can be extremely hot, especially in areas like Luxor and Aswan.
2. Choose Your Destinations: Egypt is full of fascinating places to visit. Some of the top attractions include:
   • Cairo: Visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum.
   • Luxor: Explore the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple.
   • Aswan: Discover the Philae Temple and enjoy a Nile River cruise.
   • Red Sea Resorts: Relax in Sharm El-Sheikh or Hurghada for beautiful beaches and water activities.
3. Book Your Flights: Look for flights to Cairo International Airport or other regional airports depending on your planned destinations. Compare prices across various booking platforms and try to book in advance for better rates.
4. Apply for a Visa: Most travelers will need a visa to enter Egypt. You can get a visa on arrival at the airport or apply for an e-visa online before your trip.
5. Plan Your Accommodation: Egypt offers a range of accommodation options, from luxury resorts to budget hotels. Choose based on your preferences and travel style. Popular areas to stay include Cairo, Luxor, and the Red Sea resorts.
6. Create an Itinerary: Decide how long you’ll spend in each location. Include time for sightseeing, relaxation, and cultural experiences. Make sure to balance busy days with some downtime.
7. Arrange Transportation: Consider how you'll get around in Egypt. Domestic flights, trains, and buses are common options for long distances, while taxis, ride-hailing apps, and private drivers are useful for short distances.
8. Research Local Culture and Etiquette: Learn a few basic Arabic phrases, as well as cultural norms and customs. Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country, so dressing modestly and being respectful of local traditions is important.
9. Pack Appropriately: Follow a packing list for Egypt, including lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for sightseeing. Don’t forget a camera, as Egypt offers incredible photo opportunities.
10. Stay Safe: While Egypt is generally safe for tourists, always stay informed about the current security situation and follow local advice. It’s also a good idea to have travel insurance that covers health and emergencies.

By carefully planning these aspects, you’ll have a memorable and hassle-free trip to Egypt.

When packing for your trip to Egypt, it's essential to bring lightweight, breathable clothing such as cotton or linen for the hot weather, along with comfortable walking shoes for exploring historical sites. Remember to pack a scarf for modesty when visiting religious locations, and swimwear if you're staying at a resort. Don't forget a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen to protect yourself from the intense sun, as well as a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated during your adventures. If you're traveling in cooler months or visiting the desert, include a jacket or sweater for the evenings.

You can obtain a visa to visit Egypt in several ways, depending on your nationality and travel plans:

• e-Visa (Online Application): Many travelers can apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) online through the official Egypt e-Visa Portal. The process is quick and simple, usually taking 3–7 business days.
• Visa on Arrival: Available for citizens of certain countries, allowing you to purchase a visa at the airport upon arrival in Egypt.
• Embassy or Consulate Application: If you're not eligible for an e-Visa or visa on arrival, you may need to apply in person at the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate.

Yes, many women travel solo in Egypt and have a rewarding experience. However, as with any destination, it’s important to take certain precautions. Solo female travelers should dress modestly (covering shoulders and knees), avoid walking alone late at night, and be cautious in less crowded areas. Egyptian people are generally warm and welcoming, and being respectful of the local culture goes a long way in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable trip.
