How We Protect Your Information
At Misk Tours, our commitment to transparency and reliability is at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize your privacy and data security. Before using our services, we encourage you to review our privacy policies carefully.
We use advanced security technologies, including encryption and firewalls, to protect your sensitive information. Access to your data is limited strictly to authorized team members who require it to serve you better.
In practice this means:
- the website and the booking pages are served over an encrypted HTTPS connection;
- card and mobile-wallet details are entered only on our payment provider's secure page and never reach our servers;
- booking pages that show your details are opened through a private link and are not indexed by search engines;
- access to booking and enquiry records is limited to our team.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting your rights occurs, we will notify you and the competent authority where the law requires it.
Information We Collect from Customers
We collect only the information we need to answer you, organise your trip and run the website. It comes from the following sources.
Forms (contact, enquiry, tailor-made trip): name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, travel dates, number of travellers, interests and the message you write.
Bookings: name, email address, phone number, country, hotel or pick-up details, the tour, date, number of travellers and options you choose, notes or special requests, the price and payment status, a booking reference, and the time and wording of the consent you gave when booking.
Payments: online payments are processed by Paymob on its own secure payment page. Your card or wallet details are entered there; card data never touches our servers and we do not see or store your card number, expiry date or security code. We store only the booking details above, the amount paid, the Paymob transaction ID and the payment status.
WhatsApp and email: when you message us, we receive your number or email address, your profile name and the content of your messages.
Website usage data: basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising only according to your cookie choices (see Cookies below), and in server logs for security.
Why we use your information and our legal bases
We use personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote or itinerary (steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to you);
- to take and manage your booking, take payment, send confirmations and vouchers, and provide the tour (performance of the contract);
- to keep accounting, tax and other records we must keep by law (legal obligation);
- to protect the website and our business, prevent fraud and handle disputes (legitimate interests);
- to measure how the website is used and to show and measure our advertising (your consent, given through the cookie banner);
- to contact you about your booking, which you agree to when you book (contract and consent).
Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the processing done before.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the following recipients and only as far as needed:
- Paymob, our payment provider, which processes online card and wallet payments;
- our email delivery and mailbox provider, which sends our booking emails and hosts our email;
- our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database;
- guides, drivers, hotels, cruise operators, airlines and other suppliers who deliver your tour, who receive the details needed to serve you (for example your name, number of travellers and pick-up point);
- analytics and advertising tools, only after you accept the matching cookies: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads (Google), Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) and the Meta pixel (Meta), as configured on the website at the time;
- YouTube (Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited), which serves the background video in the header of our home page. The video is embedded through the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com, and your browser contacts YouTube and Google after the page has loaded (or only after you accept marketing cookies, where the website is set up that way). YouTube's own privacy policy applies;
- public authorities, courts and advisers, where the law requires it or to protect our rights.
If your personal data needs to be shared with any other third party, you will be informed in advance and will have the option to opt out.
International transfers
Misk Tours is based in Egypt and many of our customers live elsewhere. Some of our service providers, for example our hosting and email providers, Google, Microsoft and Meta, may process data in other countries, including countries outside Egypt and outside your own country, which may have different data protection rules. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, or on your consent.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies keep the site working. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner. The Google tags are loaded in Google Consent Mode with storage denied until you accept, and Microsoft Clarity and the Meta pixel are not activated before you accept.

Your rights

- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data deleted (erasure);

Our website and online booking are not intended for children, and people under 18 may not use the website to make bookings. When you book for a family, you give us the number and ages of the children travelling, and we use this only to price and organise the trip. We do not knowingly collect other personal data from children.
